Momma Bread

This is for Marci who ate the whole thing ALL BY HERSELF over the course of a week!!! :)

1/2 c. shortning
1 c. sugar
2 eggs - slightly beaten
2-3 ripe bananas - mashed
2 c. flour
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. baking soda
1 T. Cinnamon
1 tsp. Allspice
1 tsp. Nutmeg
1/2 tsp. Almond Extract
1/4 c. milk
1/2 c. Chopped Walnuts
1/4 c. Sultanas
1/4 c. Raisins
1/4 c. Craisins

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Cream shortening and sugar together, then add the eggs,
Mash the bananas and add to the mixture - stir well.
Add in flour, baking powder, soda, and spices - stir slowly until combined.
Add in the Almond extract and milk - stir well.
Add in chopped nuts, and raisins, craisins, and sultanas.

Pour mixture into a greased bundt pan and cook for 60 minutes.

And in my defense, I didnt eat the whole thing....not that I wouldnt have ....

This is the best banana bread I have ever had ... Not greasy at all and just fabulous!!!One of the many highlights of me getting to stay at Chez Gray this year.
Thanks for posting this, baybee and for getting me hooked on it in the first place.
