I got this from Maryvonne today!

Dear Christine
Just before turning in last night I looked at my mail and what a
fantastic surprise to win
Thank you for organising this. It probably gave you a lot of headaches
like many other thing you try to do to help us painters.
Just to explain the story of the piece :
I painted one with Elvira Aguiar and had it framed and a friend wanted
to buy it so I said no as it is looking good in mu lounge and I never
sell pieces done with a teacher nor do I exhibit them either .
So one day at a workshop with Nancy Benedetti she said :
You do a lot of workshop but what about practicing on your own...
So I decided to try and redo this piece without Elvira Correcting so I
am really pleased and it give confidence to now work on another piece
etc
Thank you Chrsitine and all those organisers and all voters.
My husband wanted to know How many members in PPIO and how many voted
if you are at liberty to say.
PPIO has given me lot of pleasure and laughs
I'll copy this to Marcy
And as soon as I get my new computer I'll try to learn how to post
directly on PPIO
Best wishes
Have a good sunday
Love
Maryvonne

I repeat, it was sooooo difficult to choose from this category as with the others. Well Done! Marivonne and thanks for sharing the story behind the painting.Well done also to the runners up it is great to think that there is so much enthusiasm in china painting!! My personal choice was the border collie because it so captured the personality of the breed, but then I am biased as I have always had border collies, there were so many really good ones at the end of the day it had to be a personal choice. Thanks also to Christine for all of your hard work in fuelling our enthusiasm. ;thanks; ;thanks; :ppio: ;bravo; ;bravo; Chris Ryder, North Wales,U.K.
