Jackie was through in Southport the day after the competition voting closed, and so for the first time we got to actually present the Winner with the prize in person! Angela very kindly did the honours whilst I took a few pictures!

"The Magic of Winter!"[/size]

The Rules:

1. Each email address has one vote.

2. Put "Vote" into subject line and send your vote by email to christine@clublustre.co.uk

3. There are 3 judges, who may not cast a normal vote as they are the 3 judges who will make a final decision should there be a tie for 1st place. Thank you to the judges in advance for your help. The 3 judges are: Tony McCoy, Marci Blattenberger and Chris Balmforth.

4. All votes will be recorded and kept until the competition winner is decided.

5. No identity of painter is given until the final result is declared - so voting is for the piece you like best. ie This FUN competition is a "People's choice competition!" Some artists have signed their piece but it has not been interfered with in any way by me just in case!

6. Entrants may not vote for themselves.

7. Each entry will have a number and description to ensure you feel confident you are voting for the correct piece of work! (Some items have a front and back view!)

This sounds like a fabulous idea when I'm sweltering in 90 degree heat with no air conditioning. Hopefully, thinking winter will cool me off! Ann Krummel

Christine, we are right in the middle of winter here in New Zealand and I cannot find ANYTHING magical about it at all! ;gaa;

So I need to get my thinking cap on, and think of something warm and cosy on this cold winter day.

BUT ...... thanks for the invite! :ppio:

Hi Christine.. We Aussies in the Antipodes have trouble finding the magic in winter .. we're mainly a sunny lot... however there's got to be something there.. apart from me getting out of bed & grumbling about the B***** cold on my toottsies.. clatter... clunk... bong... thats my brain working!!!!... Log fires... ummmm..comfort food like stews... course the down side of that is weight gain. ;0Z ;0Z ;0Z ;0Z ;0Z .. who needs that... maybe we'll all get a shock & it will snow or something. well best get my 2 neurons working overtime.. I'd put on my thinking cap but it's too big.. my brain has shrunk... someone give me some magic OK? Jole
