reds firing brown

This is a test plate with ivory glaze. The glaze is very very light colored. All my iron reds turned brown. The same goes on light ivory /yellow tinted tiles.
I put the fired colors I used from a white plate next to test fired colors on the ivory plate. The yellow is also not very pretty. Blue and greens are OK also purple and pink.
